Being on the Road is physically demanding work, and may times you'd like to get a massage from a profesional Massage Therapist. In most cases, you get what you settle for, and that is not alway the best massage or the most professional people. At StageHands, we strive to provide you with massage that is:
Professional - All StageHands' Therapists will be professionally educated, full-time Massage Therapists. No pictures, autographs, merchandise, or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated. Our financial arrangements are with the venue or the production management, not with the individual artist. In applicable areas, we will be state or locally licensed as Massage Therapists. We may be fans, but when performing massage, you are simply a client.
Experienced- All StageHands Massage Therapists are Massage Therapists, ( not 'Masseuses' ) who have full time practices. We have years of experience providing massage for professional athletes, musicians, and many other performers. We have many techniques available, beyond swedish massage.
Insured - Okay - this throws some people - Professional Massage Therapists have liability insurance. That's a fact. Anyone who tells you different may be trying to pass themselves off as professional, but the fact is that professionals pony up to the responsibility of maintaing insurance. Your production company and/or venue will be able to be covered as "additionally insured" by StageHands Therapists'.
Real - We don't somply 'Tame Tension', represent ourselves as 'Doctors', or tolerate being called 'masseuses'. We are Massage Therapists, and realize that you need a massage - not a 'massage experience'. We dress professionally, arrive with a table and a chair (if called for) and have a vast network of complementary practitioners from physicians to acupuncturists. We dress professionally, act professionally, and realize that even though you only may be in town once a year, you deserve the same respect at your performance that we would provide you in our office.
